FEAR:
This refers to the art of being afraid to do something or act.
Fear
of success is actually quite common, and it can cause us to lose out on
a lot of opportunities in life. When we're too afraid to take risks and
move forward on our goals – either consciously or unconsciously – we
get stuck in one place, neither moving forward nor backward.
Successful
people...focus on the rewards of success: learning from their mistakes
and thinking about how they can improve themselves and their situations.
(John Maxwell, Your Road Map for Success, http://www.inspirational-quotes.info/failure, 2014)
Fear takes many forms, some of the forms are fear to start something,
fear of failure, fear of taking risk, fear of people or to others, fear
of opposition, fear of making mistakes, fear of the devil, and fear of
the unknown (Charles Godfm, Enemies of Success, 2014 – p18).
The fear to start something:
This
is a barrier to success. Many Christians are suffering because they
fear to take initiatives or start to do business or something that will
earn them a living. Life starts from somewhere and ends somewhere,
little drops of water makes a mighty ocean. If Christians fear to take
initiatives, how can they progress in life? All those who have been able
to make it in life or are successful started from somewhere and have
ended up great for them. If a person says to himself that he cannot
succeed in taking initiative then it shall come to pass because he has
set up the mind that ‘it is impossible for him to succeed’.
It is
common to notice energetic young people who feel inferior to approach
the experienced and successful people in life for advice on how to start
business in their life. Shyness on the part of some Christian people is
making life challenging for them. Shyness is a feature of fear, so
anyone who feels shy in learning from others always makes mistakes.
Respect is different from shyness; some people think being of shy means
being respectful but that is not the reality.
In the Bible, when a
master of three servants travelled, he left money for each servant in
different amount to invest for him. Two of these servants ‘the first and
the second’ had the courage to work with the money to make profit, but
the third servant refused and dug the ground and hides the money in the
soil. Fear made this servant to dig the ground and hides the money in
the soil. When the master returned, he called them to make an account.
The first servant with the highest amount was able to make profit for
the master out of what his was given, likewise the second servant, but
the third servant told the master that he was afraid that he could not
make profit out of the money given to him, so he hide the money in a
hole he dug on the ground. The master rewarded the first and second
servants but the third servant was not rewarded. It is the same today,
fear have made some people not to invest into their future. The master
of the servants said ‘those who cultivate harvest, harvest bountifully’
so if one puts fear of starting away, then success will be at hands of
the unfearful and hard determined Christian.
(Matthew 25:14 - 30)
For
the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who
called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
And unto
one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every
man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five
talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I
have gained beside them five talents more.
His lord said unto him,
Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a
few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into
the joy of thy lord.
He also that had received two talents came and
said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained
two other talents beside them.
His lord said unto him, Well done,
good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I
will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy
lord.
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord,
I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not
sown, and gathering where thou hast not strowed:
And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant,
thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not
strowed:
Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the
exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with
usury.
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
For
unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance:
but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Fear
is the killer of success. Many Christians have given up in life out of
fear. Today many Christians are not successful in evangelism, church
planting, youth ministry and other ministerial work because they fear
that they may not succeed when they start. Fear is a barrier of success.
The fear of failure:
The fear of failure on the part of many Christians hinders success.
Many people are not successful because they fear to take risk. Some
people fear of the past failure they have had before and hence decides
not to take any initiative again.
Life is always about ups and
downs, nothing is easy in life and those who have the fear of failure
become unsuccessful in living a fulfilled Christian life.
The fear of taking risk:
Fear
of taking risk is the failure of success. It hinders the growth of
living a successful Christian life. Some Christians are not able to make
it in life because they fear to take risk. (Job 3:25), “For the thing
which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of
is come unto me.”
The fear of people:
Being respectful does not
mean you fear people. Fearing people means not able to make your
intentions known, shy to associate with others, idleness and isolation
and unable to reason with others. Some Christians even deny their faith
and follow societal norms and prestige because of fear. Inferiority
complex is a form of fear of people.
Fear of opposition:
Many
visions and ideas are killed by laughter and ridicule. So many people
are not willing to face opposition in life. Opposition is natural life,
everybody on earth has an opposition, without opposition, dreams, and
objectives will be a nightmare. For a Christian to be successful, he or
she must recognise there is opposition in evangelism, youth ministry,
and discipleship.
Fear of making mistakes:
There is no
success without paying a price. Success is not something one gets
easily, one ought to fight for it. Because we are living in an imperfect
world, we are bound to make mistakes. Fear of making mistakes prevents
one from being successful. If a Christian wants to live a successful
Christian life, he must accept that mistakes do happen in speeches,
teaching, friendship and many others. In achieving a goal, challenges
may come and does not mean one should stop pursuing the aims or
objectives set.
Fear of the devil:
Many Christians are
ignorant of the unlimited powers of our master Jesus Christ, and fear
the devil. Some Christians are afraid to embark on evangelism in certain
rural areas where there is a perception that demons are abundant in
their numbers.
In Cape Coast of Ghana, it is common to notice people
not visiting their home town or village because they fear that they may
be killed by witches or wizards in the village. If Christians will
recognise that Jesus Christ is above all gods, witches and wizards,
demons, and principalities, then a successful Christian life can be
achieved.
(Isaiah 41:10), “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not
dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help
thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
(1John
4:4), “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because
greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
(Philippians
2:10), “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”
Fearing the devil and his agents hinders a successful Christian life.
Fear of the unknown:
Some Christians are not able to live a successful Christian life due to the fear of things that do not even exist.
In
Africa Traditional Religious belief, there are certain cultural and
custom values that have put fear into some Christians. These African
Traditional cultural values includes; no whistle blowing in the night,
no singing whilst bathing, no sweeping in the night and many others. Why
some Christians have imbibed in them because the family he or she found
himself in may not really be a Christian home and hence may believe
them.
Fear can dominate a man to the extent that he may not become what he is destined to be.

What Does It Take To Be BRAVE
THE BRAVERY
Bravery
according to Longman dictionary can be defined as someone who is courageous,
fearless, and ready to suffer danger or pain. Or to face or risk facing
(danger, pain, or trouble) without showing fear.
In common term,
bravery is someone who is able to resist opposition such as hunger, poverty,
marriage challenges, academic challenges, political powers, etc.
Bravery takes
many forms. It can be in the form of politics, religion, social, business
initiatives, scientific, moral and immoral, and regional or tribal etc.
depending on the state of the situation.
In our world
many people think being brave refers to a person who has been able to make it
in life financially, but do not consider the belief or spiritual, physical,
political, power or authority, and other aspects of bravery. As already stated, being bravery means been
able to resist oppositions no matter the extent of the opposition.
Many people
succeed in bribery and corruption, arm robbery, lying, killing or murdering,
and other immoral or deviant life and call themselves bravery. This is not
bravery, but rather immorality or deviant behaviour.
Some Forms of Bravery:
Religious
bravery
Religious
bravery is when a person is faithful to his or her religious doctrine and able
to resist oppositions. There are so many religious oppositions which exist to
frustrate people in a particular religion. For instance, the Bahai opposes the
teachings of Christians, the Muslims also opposes the teachings of Christians
and vise versa.
Christianity is not really a religion in the context of the bible but in some context can be classified as a religion. It is a way of life, ‘Christ – like life’ Jesus life style exhibits by His followers. A Christian is said to be brave when he or she is faithful, love others, obey God’s word, and can resist temptations and depend on JESUS for eternal life.
The reason why
many Africans are suffering is because of the lack of braveness to overcome
challenges. People attend Church or worship place with no
faith and limits God or their god. In my country Ghana more than 60% are
Christians but are not bravery. Many
people call themselves Christians but do not practice Christianity. They waver
between hot and cold, are not faithful, kindly, lovely etc.
Political
bravery
In Africa, when
a person is able to become president through war, or blood shedding, people
consider it to be bravery. Also when a person succeeds in coup de ta he is considered to be bravery.
Politically,
bravery means a person whose vision and mission is accepted by the majority of
the people and he or she is supported to become president through election, or
by any constitutional means.
The America
president His Excellency Barrack H. Obama was bravery to resist all the abusive
languages, frustrations, threats, and many others to become president through
constitutional election. He resisted
oppositions from the day he entered into politics.
The former South
African late president, His Excellency Nelson Mandela was brave to resist the
colonial masters and the citizens who were opposing him. He stood firm to
capture power for his people. He resisted all the insults, torcher, and marital
challenges to gain independence for his people.
Social
bravery
In stages in
life there are so many oppositions. The challenges of peer influence,
biological adolescent challenges, physiological, self-identity, and many
others.
Socially people
are tempted to do or accept certain philosophies, and doctrines. It is very
hard at the adolescent stage where there are many biological and physiological
changes. Boys feels and influence to
have sexual intercourse with the girls, engaged in many social vices, and vise
versa. People are influence social.
Social bravery
is where people are able to resist social challenges and are not influenced by
external forces. Here the person is focus and do not attend to immoralities or
be a disobedient person.
Business
initiative
For a person to
succeed in life, he has to be of sound mind, able to think and reason logically.
A person who fails to think and take initiatives or even provide advice to
others to take initiative and is lazy is not brave.
It takes bravery
for people to take initiatives. Many university graduates are jobless or
unemployed because they are not brave in taking initiatives and always depend
on government or public sector jobs. Many
have turned to become arm robbers, prostitutes, corrupts, etc. because they are
not brave to come out with little business plan. Attempting and lacking funds
is better than not attempting it at all. Most of the time when business
initiatives are taking, people who are business oriented may support.
In business
initiatives one does not need huge sums of money before he or she starts. It is
step by step. All the millionaires and wealthy people in the world started very
little and have ended big.
Scientific
bravery
Discovering of
knowledge takes braveness. It is braveness that led to the invention of heavy
machines and equipment. Why bravery is needed is because it is do and die
affair. Without bravery there wouldn’t have been discoveries of oil, space,
gold, silver, and many others.
Scientific
bravery is when a person is focus and determines to discover the hidden no
matter the challenges.
Moral
and immoral bravery
A decent and
moral behaviour is where majority of the people expect from an individual. The
majority who do not like decent and moral life are themselves immoral.
Arm robbery,
prostitution, stealing, lying, greediness, hatred etc. are immoral bravery. No society accepts these norms.
In conclusion,
bravery means being able to resist oppositions and becoming the ruler of the
opposition.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA - Is not the prophecy fulfilled
The America president,
BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA (2009 – 2016) has been in the news since 2007 or the day
of his political ambition to date.
Many people of
different religious belief have prophesied about a black person rising to the
highest seat in America. Prophets, magicians, astronomers, etc. have said so
many things about the future of America presidency. Even today some people are
still prophesising about a black man president. Some of these prophets said
that black president would be the last to rule and that would be the end of the
world. Others also said, the black man will send America backwards – economic
hardship, disasters, increase of demonic activities, breakages of international
relations and so on. The black president will make Africa superior than other continents.
When Barack H.
Obama started rising to become president of America a lot of things were said
and still people are saying so many things about him. Out of these prophecies,
some people have concluded that President Barack H. Obama is the prophecy
fulfilled. Should those prophecies be concluded that President Barack H. Obama is
the one referred to as the black man becoming president in America? Under what basis these prophecies should be
accepted? Were the prophets specific? Can those prophecies be compared with
those in the Bible? Are we in the end time? Is President Obama black American
or African? Does the colour matter? Were those prophecies just a prediction or
real revelation? Who qualifies to prophesy? Are prophecies and predictions the
same?
This piece of
philosophical work analysis and exposes the secret behind President Barack H.
Obama presidency and the future of America.
The
America Constitution
When Obama was
campaigning, it was roamed that some African leaders and some black
millionaires across the world massively supported him financially, physically,
and spiritually. They supported or advocated for him because:
i.
Of the perception of
him being a black person and also half African.
ii.
He will help bridge the
socio-economic gab between the Americans and the Africans.
iii.
Immigration policies
may favour many Africans to enter America.
iv.
Racism would be
overcome or reduced, and there would not be a black president for blacks or
white president for whites, but a president for all.
v.
Sign of equal rights to
all in America.
vi.
People will realise
that black people can also think, analysis things, make judgement and come out
with solutions to problems.
vii.
Slave trade in all
manner of ways (socio-economic, health, science and technology, etc.) may be
reduced or eradicated.
The
reasons are many; these seven were some of the main reasons of some people
supporting Obama. What has been left or was not considered is the America
constitution. The constitution of America allows every sound and brilliant
citizen to vote, benefit, and be a leader in America if the majority of the
people affirm the person through voting.
The actual problem was the practice of racism and not the constitution.
The
ancient constitution of America was somehow centred on the whites’ citizens
because there were only majority of whites (98%) in the nation or states and
the rest were visitors made of slaves and traders who were not citizens.
Logically
it is very difficult for strangers or visitors to rule over the owners of the
land. So when the slaves or visitors later became citizens, it became a battle
between the original rulers and the visitors which were in the form of racism
and discrimination. Racism and abuse or discrimination was some of the methods
or ways or strategies to prevent or resist the blacks or strangers or visitors
to contest or compete in politics. This battle generated a lot of predictions
by some black visitors or strangers who became citizens that they hope that one
day a black person will also claim on the highest seat of America to rule. I do
not think this is a revelation prophecy but a vision and revolution that
naturally has to be.
A
half American and half African (BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA) has become president.
What paves the way for him to contest the presidential election is the
constitution. The people in America understood and accepted his philosophies
and voted for him. He is American
citizen not African citizen, and an African cannot be president in America.
President BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA cannot do anything without the constitution of
America.
Culture
Culturally
Americans always thinks about the superiority of their country over other countries
first. An African leader considers himself to be overlord of his people and not
the country being superior than other countries.
There
are poverty, hunger, sickness and diseases, conflict, and some immoralities in Africa
because some Africa leaders are selfish, wicked, corrupt, agents of demons, are
not united, lazy in solving problems, mistrust, time wasting and many others.
They are not problem solvers but give excuses. They always depend on some
people for survival and were happy when Obama became president thinking he will
just give them money and luxury things to use.
Culturally,
President Obama would not consider helping others who are competing with his
country in socio-economic development and other things. He is for America and would always consider
America first not Africa. If he is to provide any help to Africa it must be in
the interest of Americans (or the constitution) and not him as a person. Even him as an individual person would
consider the welfare and superiority of America over others. The constitution
says Americans or America first.
Religion
It
is very hard to specifically state where President Obama belongs to. Why
because he has Christian, Muslim, African Traditional Religious belief, and
other religious background. His religion is for him to decide where he would
strongly live by.
Colour
It
is up hauling to hear or read that President Obama is the black president of
America. He is neither black nor white. He is in between, and he is for all.
Not specific group of people. As the late Lucky Dube (a South African reggae
musician) said different colours, one people, there is neither black nor white
or chocolate, or grey. The blood is red and all people have red blood colour. Whether black or white, we have one blood
colour, we all do urinate, eat food, sleep, fall sick, feel pains when harmed,
have emotions and psychological feelings, etc.
Racism
is a disease and must not be encouraged. One body many parts, one tree many
branches and roots. If people are supporting President Obama because of his
vision and mission that is fine but should not really because he has a black
genes in him.
Interventions
in Africa
President
Obama has not helped in anything exceptional to Africa. He is only doing what
the America constitution is required of him as a president to do. There has not
been any effective socio-economic development in Africa when Obama came into
power. He is ruling as any American president would rule.
Prophesies
I have already stated in the introduction that
many people are claiming that president Obama is the black president prophesied
or predicted some years ago to be president.
The
said prophesies in all the internet, in books, and other sources may hold or
may not be the truth. Those Prophets, magicians, astronomers, etc. who were
specific about Obama, by mentioning his name and how he will win and rule may
be right. But those who just predicated that someone with black skin may rule
one day in America may be just a predication and not prophesy. Since the world
has not come to an end and nobody knows when the world would be ended, no one
can conclude that President Obama is the black president ever in America. If it
is the colour that some people are basing their argument on, then they might be
committing error because a dark black person born by parents both black from
black skin colour family may become president in some years to come. Very dark
black skin colour is likely to become president in America. The former United
Nations secretary general was very dark in colour (black), he is from Ghana and
the UN policy allows citizens of all member nations the right to contest in the
general secretary and other position. That’s how the America constitution also
allows the citizens to contest election in America.
Africa
and America politics
As
already stated, America and Africa are competing in Socio-economic development
and in other things. Americans wouldn’t want Africa to be at the same level
with them in economics, science and technology, and many other things; and this
is natural politics. If Africa develops America and other continent may be in
trouble in economic wise. Because America depends on Africa for rich natural
resources, and if Africa become knowledgeable in how to convert raw materials
to finish product America may suffer in socio-economic policies.
The
strategies of America and other developed nations are that, they wouldn’t want Africa
to know science and technology, and other developing strategies. This is
politics and in politics the strongest survive. It is about strategies,
discipline, trust, visions, repentance, self-encouragement, and faithfulness.
The
conflicts and socio-economics problems in Africa are created by the external
forces and some co-operate aimless and wicked Africa leaders. The external forces are those who supply
weapons and finances to Some Africans who are killing people for their selfish
interest. Can those external forces be blame much; I think no, because it is a
political agenda and would want to control Africans always.
The
America manufactures these destructive weapons for protection and economic
gains. For them they are selling and whoever buys from them is not their
concern. The ones they do not sell are
what can be used against them. President Obama cannot stop the conflict in
Africa because it is politics. The only thing the America is doing wants to do
bloodless politics with Africans. They are engaging in politics where innocent
blood would not be shared. But the co-operate Africans because of their
personal gains (to rule or be overlord of his people) shares blood.
Africa
leaders
Some
are not problem solvers but always give excuses. Some do not care whatever may
happen to their citizens. President
Obama cannot ask some wicked Africa leaders not do what they are doing because
it will benefit them. The only thing they normally do is trying to save
innocent people not to be killed but is not enough. Already the America is
competing with Africa and in some ways when Africa is kept in under develop it
benefits them.
Africa
leaders have to do away with corrupt practices and focus in developing the
continent. They have to stop depending on the America always for aid which
comes with conditions of keeping Africa under develops. They have to invest in
education and youth development initiatives.
The
humanitarian work that America should insist in Africa is the band of shipping
war machines, guns, and other destructive weapons and financing of conflict by
some individuals and some states.
